Areas of Focus

Couples and Families
Nicole has almost 2 decades of experience working with couples and families. Most couples aren't stuck because they don't love each other. They're stuck because they don't fully understand their relationship patterns that keep pulling them back into the same interactions or conversations that are creating conflict, resentment and disconnection.

Together, we'll slow those moments down and make sense of what's happening beneath the surface. We'll identify the behaviors, emotions, expectations, and protective patterns. As those patterns become clearer, we’ll create a roadmap for changing them.

My role isn't to decide who's right or wrong. I help each partner understand themselves, understand each other, and understand what the relationship needs. We'll identify and work through what's getting in the way of change and build practical ways of interacting that create greater connection, trust, and teamwork.

Grief Counseling
As a Certified Grief Counselor, I work with adults and families whose lives have been changed by the death of a parent, partner, or sibling.

Grief can feel confusing, overwhelming, and isolating. My role is to be present with you in your grief while offering guidance, perspective, and support. Together, we'll work to understand your personal grief without pressure to grieve in a certain way.

As you make sense of your grief, I'll help you navigate the challenges of adjusting to a new reality, new roles, new family dynamics, and sometimes a new sense of who you are.

My role isn't to help you "move on." It's to help you learn how to live with your loss and integrate it into your life in a meaningful way.

Mid-Life Transitions & Aging
Midlife can bring unexpected changes. You may find yourself feeling untethered and wondering what this next chapter of your life will look like, adjusting to an empty nest, divorce or retirement, caring for aging parents.

What makes this stage of life unique is that you bring decades of life experience with you. I view and value those experiences as one of your greatest resources. Therapy isn't about starting over—it's about learning from where you've been to develop new insights that help you make informed decisions and meaningful changes in the present and future.

My role is to help you make sense of what you're experiencing, navigate the challenges of this stage of life, and create a future that feels authentic and aligned with who you are today.
