Couple Therapy

  • The overall length of couple therapy or the number of sessions depends on several factors including:

    - Types of issues and symptoms including severity, duration and frequency

    - The amount of effort you both put into change outside of your sessions

    - Financial or time limitations

  • Each session lasts 50-55 minutes. Inquire about add-on times.

  • Not with us. We believe it is more effective to have separate therapists for your individual therapy and your couple therapy to avoid any biases or secret keeping, and to be as fair as possible with each partner in couple therapy.

  • Yes. Most insurance plans cover couple therapy under family therapy. However, there might be some limitations. Please check your coverage before beginning therapy.

    If you each have health insurance, please choose one insurance that is in-network and has the better benefits. Claims will be submitted through that specific health insurance plan.

  • Each couple session costs $160 if you are not using insurance.

  • Yes, but we need consent from each partner. We think it is important to work with other professionals in your healthcare system to provide you the best treatment.

  • Yes. We use a HIPAA compliant platform that is easy to use and provides security to our clients.

    We highly recommend that you are together in the same room for therapy. However, our platform allows for multiple links if you are in separate locations.

  • Yes. We offer a free 15 minute consultation over phone or video. We recommend both partners be available for the consultation.

    These consultations are not therapy sessions. Please come prepared with a brief summary and questions for the therapist.
